Scholarship Information

 As scholarship information arrives, I will post to this website and place copies of applications outside the counseling office.  Most scholarships will not arrive until after Christmas, but there are many ways to search for scholarships.  Certain college websites provide scholarship information.  Check with the college you are planning to attend to get more information.  

As you apply to colleges, also apply for their scholarships!

                                                                   Pay close attention to scholarship DEADLINES!

Check out the following websites for general scholarship information:

Horatio Alger Association Scholarship:  Up to $25,000.  Must demonstrate financial need.  Application Deadline: Oct 25.  Come by the office for an application.

Essay Contest:  $10,000 scholarship.  Dealine is December 31st.  Go to www.thefire.org/contest for more information.

UT Dallas McDermott Scholar Program:  This is a merit based scholarship up to $150,000.  Application deadline is Jan 3rd.  See Mrs. Willis for details.

Ag Student of the Month Scholarship:  must be a member of FFA or 4-H and want to pursue an ag related career.  They will choose one student a month.  Deadline is Dec 1st, 2017.  Pick up an application in the office.

Smith-Hutson Scholarship:  Apply through your mySFA account.  Pick up details in the counseling office.

East Texas Professional Credit Union Presidential Scholarship:  $1000; must be a member of ETPCU.  Pick up application in the counseling office.

East Texas Professional Credit Union Mclauchlin Scholarship: $2000; must be a member of ETPCU; must be an education major.  Pick up an application in the counseling office.

Dr. Pepper Tuition Giveaway: $100,000.  Pick up info on how to apply in the office.

 East Texas Communities Foundation:  Use to following link to apply to over 51 local scholarships!      http://etcf.org/scholarships/available-scholarships/

National Beta Scholarship:  Top Beta Seniors should apply for over $15,000 in scholarships.  Go to www.betaclub.org/scholarship to apply.

The Daughters of the Republic of Texas:  Apply if you can prove lineage for 3 generations.  Scholarship is $1000. Pick up the essay prompt and application in the high school office.

Lighthouse Technologies Scholarship:  This is an essay competition worth $1000.  Go to http://www.onelighthouse.com/technology-scholarship/ to apply.
