District Advisory Council

The District Advisory Council is a committee of parents, students, business and community representatives, teachers, principals, and other district staff. The formation of the DAC is required by state law (TEC,  §11.251). The District Advisory Council provides input into decisions relating to areas of planning, budgeting, curriculum, educational programming, staff development and school organization. Council members provide assistance in the development, evaluation, monitoring, and annual revision of the District Improvement Plan. The DAC is also responsible for providing input and comment on WISD student performance.
